MS-13 Gang Plots To Kill Police Officers

Back in September, I wrote an article about MS-13 and Al-Qaeda collaboration. Saturday The Washington Times published a story detailing MS-13 efforts to kill police officers. Could it be that Al-Qaeda, having been unable to pull off another major strike against the US, has allied itself with MS-13 to bring extremist violence to the streets of America:

Maryland (Washington Times)—MS-13, which is among the largest and the most violent street gangs, has members in Maryland and the District, but is concentrated in Northern Virginia. In recent years, Virginia Gov. Mark Warner, Attorney General Jerry W. Kilgore and Rep. Frank R. Wolf have each created regional or statewide task forces to combat the growing problem of gang violence.

Authorities said gang activity has contributed to a rise in violent crime in Hispanic communities, but gang members also are branching out into drug trafficking, car-theft rings and prostitution.

It is problems just like this that should give President Bush an adequate reason to tighten America’s borders, but he seems hell-bent to grant amnesty and open the floodgates. Americans should be contacting their congressional representatives and senators about the President’s misguided plans to grant amnesty to illegal aliens.

I don’t believe most Americans have a problem with immigration; in fact, we welcome the immigrants that have taken the time and effort to immigrate legally. Illegal immigration is a problem that must be stopped, it casts unwarranted suspicions on legal residents and citizens, and it threatens the survival of the republic.
