The Jawa Report is speculating that a recently deployed F-16 wing may have been responsible for the strike.
Update (1/14/2006 8:21am):
Pakistani officials say al-Zawahiri wasn’t in Damadola and wasn’t killed in the attack.

The New York Times reports that anonymous sources say even if al-Zawahiri wasn’t killed, some senior Al-Qaeda officials might have been. They noted that there is no evidence of al-Zawahiri’s death or survival. [ story ].
