5.2 Magnitude Earthquake Occurs In Gulf Of Mexico

A magnitude 5.2 earthquake occurred last night in the Gulf of Mexico about 111 miles from Grand Isle, Louisiana.

The earthquake’s epicenter was located at 27.632°N, 90.144°W. The hypocentral depth of the earthquake was very shallow, occurring at 3.1 miles beneath the surface.

Talked with the City of Grand Isle about the earthquake, no one felt anything when it occurred.
