NC Highway Patrol Cruiser Cut In Half By Crash
North Carolina State Trooper J. N. Brand was injured today in a horrific crash that cut his car in half. WRAL says the cruiser’s engine was sitting in the middle of the highway where the crash occurred.
The North Carolina Highway Patrol (NCHP) says Trooper Brand is in critical, but stable condition.
The chase began after a green Honda tried to evade a license checkpoint setup by the NCHP. “Trooper J.N. (Jerry) Brand attempted to catch up to the Honda in his Crown Victoria Patrol car. The trooper apparently lost control, the car ran off the left of the road, stuck a utility pole and a tree, and came to rest in a yard on Angier Avenue,” the NCHP said.
Looking at the picture of the cruiser, it’s a miracle Trooper Brand wasn’t killed on impact. God bless you sir, get well soon.
