Outrage Over Khalid Chahhou Spreads: Destroy America!

By Tim | November 19, 2006 | Tags: General |

Outrage over an assignment given students by Khalid Chahhou in a Johnston County, North Carolina Public School is spreading. First reported at WRAL and quickly picked up by The Jawa Report, Chahhou gave his students a word search puzzle containing phrases such as, “Destroy America,” and “Allah help destroy this body of evil making humanity miserable.”

Chahhou resigned, but law enforcement refused to pursue the matter. Hmmm. The tolerance this guy is receiving in Johnston County flabbergasts me; probably because so many in the Triangle consider Johnston a redneck county populated with Klansmen. I suppose Chahhou now disproves that assumption.

Oh well, Death to America! Death to Israel!

i had mr chahhou’s class and i think is really is a very serious matter. The school administration really didnt take it as serious(in my opinion)as they should have. i also hope that the occourance wasnt as serious as all the students thought it was, and i hope the adults of Johnston county are smarter than the students, because if he blows up the school, there wont be any kids left to rub it in their parents faces…

I as well am a student at Smithfield-Selma, and brandon is right, everyone (other than the students) thought it was all a joke and something to laugh about.. when it was something to be serious, and concerned about… im very disappointed about the overall situation and i think that the matters should have been handled very differently… but i guess thats what happens when you leave it to school administration and the school board to decide… they’ll rejret it when “Chahhou” does just as he said… i mean how stupid can you be?

I go to the school this happend at, and I must say that the issue did not appear to be any threat to the school. The administration and Board of Education members looked past the issue without even taking into account the seriousness of the issue. We (the students) most definately did not.. and thought it was very serious.
