In a video posted by Hotair.com, Imam Husham Al-Husainy called US democrats to convert to Islam during the Democratic National Committee’s winter meeting.

Hotair.com—The Democratic National Committee is in the midst of its winter meeting. Here’s the convocation for today’s festivities, offered by an imam.

Transcript:

We thank you god, to bless us among your creations. We thank you, god, to make us a great nation. We thank you, god toss send us your messages through our father Abraham, and Jesus and Mohammed, through you, god, we unite, so guide us to the right spot we wish for peace, equality and help us to stop the war and violence, and oppression and occupation.

Ravi Zacharias wrote this poignant paragraph in the “2005 – Winter” edition of Just Thinking:

Just Thinking—You see, it is a bigger issue than Christmas carols being banned. Something has gone radically wrong in the West. The powers that are at work behind the scenes think they know what they are doing by pandering to the destroyers of America’s historic faith, but in reality, they don’t have the foggiest notion of what is actually at stake here. While in America we may think that by evicting the “Christian God” from its public square it is rending the arena neutral, we are ignorant of the reality that, in the long run, Eastern religions will not allow them such “no man’s zone.” Europe will find out that once Turkey is admitted into the European Union, their leaders will have to be careful about what public statements they may make about God. Nature abhors a vacuum, especially a spiritual one, and though this flirtation with absolute secularism may win the momentary dawn of a new era, it will lose the day to more strident religions than the Christian belief. Of that, I am certain. Ask any Muslim missionary that question and he or she will tell you that is so. …

I’d like to add one more quote from Ravi Zacharias if I may. I believe I have quoted him accurately, but I’ll correct any errors if made aware of them.

In his new series, “Four Stages in the Decline of a Nation,” Ravi Zacharias says “When I was studying philosophy at Cambridge under Don Cupitt, a famous philosopher in England, Don Cupitt is an ordained Anglican Priest and an avowed athiest. He has written a book called ‘The Sea of Faith’ and every morning for two hours, I would be pummeled by this athiest …. across the road was Trinity College where Burton Russell had gone and Isaac Newton had taught and Lord Byron, all these halls, and next to that was a church and he would go up to the window and point to that church and he said, ‘Do you see what those steeples are? Once upon a time, that symbolized what we believed. Now, it is touristification, heritagization. If anybody comes to England, I tell them this is what we once used to believe.’”

With a weeping heart, I must ask is that where we Americans are today?
