But this video clearly shows President Bush removing the watch himself:

The president was clearly concerned about someone getting the watch though. Sold on the blackmarket, it certainly would have fed quite a few people.

The CourierMail has more on this story reporting that, “A hand in the crowd can clearly be seen gripping Mr Bush just below the elbow, before it starts running down his forearm and towards the watch. …”
