Fucothin Weight Loss

By Tim | September 29, 2007 | Tags: Health, Hot Stories |

Has anyone tried Fucothin for weight loss?

I’ve read many great reviews, but wonder how the supplement holds up under consumer scrutiny.

Fucothin Human Trial

I’ve decided to give Fucothin a shot at weight loss. I ordered three bottles of Fucothin from Vitaminshoppe. That’s enough to determine if Fucothin works. If it does, I’ll continue with the program until I achieve my weight loss goal.

I’ll modify my diet slightly by eating a little healtier. I’ll also be walking several days a week along with some free-weight training. No big changes though.

I’ll update this story so that you can see how the program progresses.

Begin Fucothin Trial

  • Day 1 (10/03/2007):
    • First dose—Too early for a report
  • Day 2 (10/04/2007):
    • Nothing incredibly interesting to note except that I seemed to have a weird smell in my nose this morning which matched the scent of the Fucothin Gel Caps
  • Day 4 (10/06/2007):
    • Nothing to report
  • Day 6 (10/08/2007):
    • Nothing to report – no side effects noticed
  • Day 8 (10/10/2007):
    • Nothing to report – no side effects noticed
  • Day 10 (10/12/2007):
    • Today I’ve definitely noticed a change in my appetite; I’m not feeling like I have the munchies and even at my regular meal, I don’t feel the urge for gluttony. Very good, but I’ll have to see if it’s a maintainable effect
  • Day 13 (10/15/2007):
    • I’m noticing some weight loss today. I’m a couple of pounds off my usual weight. Maybe it’s just waterloss; I’m not sure at this point
  • Day 17 (10/19/2007):
    • No side effects to report. My weight continues to be about 2 pounds off so maybe Fucothin is helping at this point
  • Day 24 (10/26/2007):
    • No side effects to report. I have just returned from a short vacation. Missed a few doses of Fucothin and ate a little too much
  • Day 32 (11/03/2007):
    • I have terminated my trial of Fucothin for reasons I shall describe below

I have ended my trial of Fucothin as of 3 November 2007.

I had begun experiencing some pain and discomfort in my right lower calf muscle. My doctor took a look and referred me for an arterial ultrasound of both legs because of a pulse pressure difference between them.

Suspecting Fucothin, I stopped taking it and now the symptoms are lessening.

I don’t believe Fucothin caused it but it may have exacerbated an existing condition.

I’ll keep you posted on any further developments.

My trial of Fucothin was of course based on personal experience and not science. Your experience may be entirely different.

The arterial ultrasound was performed Thursday, 15 November. No problem was found.

I’m still experiencing some discomfort in my calf muscle. When I dropped Fucothin, the symptoms lessened. I’m not certain what part Fucothin played in that.

(Update 4/5/08 6:49pm):

I recently discovered two good ways to loose many pounds.

  1. Get sick. With flu-like symptoms, I’ve lost about 10 pounds
  2. Waitress at Applebee’s. My niece began waitressing at Applebee’s a few months ago. She dropped some bad snacking habits, hustled on the job, and lost 18 pounds!

I have been taking Fucothin for months with no discernible ill effects except I had to reduce my thyroid medication (I also take astaxanthin). To me that is proof it does “rev” your metabolism. Some of the comments sound like they were just looking for excuses not to take Fucothin. You should start with 9 pills a day for 6 weeks before you even look for any results. After the initial loading, you can cut down to 3 a day.

I experienced small bumps after taking FucoThin for a few weeks….facial, arms, legs and I stopped taking the pills 3 a day for a couple weeks the bumps went away and on resuming the pills they came back…..
It was internal not bites from summer insects….I felt
it was indeed from FucoThin…..I did not lose weight/
I would like my money back on 2 bottles not used.

I exercise regularly. I started to take fucothin a couple months ago. I lost ten pounds. So I have nice things to say about fucothin. But I’m not so sure that I would have nice things to say if I didn’t exercise regularly.

I just started taking this stuff last night. It’s probably not any coincidence that today I feel nauseous.

I took fucothin for the first time yesterday and it caused hot flashes in me all night, which I had gotten rid of previously. It also seemed to have a slight diuretic effect. So I went to their website to see if they discuss diuretic properties and they do not ever talk about this subject. I looked up the seaweed they use to make it and it does have diuretic qualities in it. I am a diabetic and am always trying to avoid frequent urination so I just wish these companies would level with us.

      hi hope
i am a diabetic as well i have been using the fucothin along with a colon cleanser. i am taking the metformin but because i usually drink lots of water throughout the day i also visit the bathroom frequently, am trying to figure out if this is a good or bad thing. i have adjusted my eating patterns and am anticipating good results i;ve only been on it for two days though

I tried Fucothin few months ago with great expectation after reading the book Perfect Weight America, but I finished the whole bottle with no significant results. It did not work for me.

I used fucothin for 3 months and all of the sudden I had a nose bleed just out of the blue and I had never had one before. I had to go to the doctor and it quit then came back and had to go to the ER twice and and have the thing shoved up my nose to get the bleeding to stop. I ended up having to have surgery to get the bleeding to stop which caused a sinus infection and could hardly eat or drink for weeks. I did not know that Fucothin would thin out your blood and I have not taken it since. So all I can say is please be careful when taking this product.

I used this product for 4 weeks following the 3 pills a day recommendation. For the 1st 3 weeks, I did not feel/see much of a change, but it did serve as somewhat of an appetite suppressant. Then, one afternoon, I started to feel extremely jittery – like I was on some kind of cray stimulant. I stopped taking the pills immediately, but it took 2 days for this feeling to completely go away. They also made my face breakout.

I tried fucothin and I experienced a little gas at first but i found that after some time that subsided.I felt that it did help with my energy level i slept like a baby and woke with no problems.I had a total well being experience with this product I loss some weight but I will continue taking it for the well being feeling and weightloss effect. I’m aware the no supplement can reduce you like a magic potion but if it can help you feel like moving that’s half the batle.
