This story is scary and hits a sensitive spot for me. I am now 25, but my mom died when I was 12 and my father remarried when I was 18. My step-mom (or as I refer to her “step-monster”) can be extremely manipulative and mean to where I feel like she knows she being hurtful. You can blame the step-mom for some, or maybe most of what happened, but the dad was there, too. He could have done something to stop it.

I agree Lauren. When the little boy’s mother was alive they were a happy loving family. Mickey was the kindest most wonderful mom in the world. Brice was a loving father. What changed to make someone do this???

Thanks for the update Lauren. Heartbreaking story, let’s all remember them in our prayers.

The stepmom was the crazy one. I used to babysit the kids before he married the crazy lady. She is manipulative and isolated them from their family. The report makes it out to be the Father’s fault and she was the one who was helping when in fact it was all her.
