James T. Harris On Death Threats: Pray For Me And My Family
Talk show host James T. Harris was just on CNN talking about the hate mail he has received since America watched him beg John McCain to take it to Barack Obama.

James T. Harris told CNN about being called the “N” word. He spoke of the death threats that he has received as a result of his support for John McCain.
James T. Harris is a conservative black man living in a “free” America with “free” Americans wanting to lynch him.
Sick.
James T. Harris asked that we pray for him and his family. So, pray. I have no doubt about the seriousness of the threats against him and his family.
Another man that I’m certain can identify with him is Allen West. Allen West is a conservative black man running against Rep. Ron Klein in Florida’s 22nd congressional district.

I never really had a feeling of wanting to do harm to a person who said something on television before. Every one has a right to vote for whom they please. But Mr. Harris you crossed the line when you repeat socialist remarks and repeat GOP KKK rhetoric that has been proven to be questionable by most of the civilized world. You are a disgrace and I dont know how you can look at your self in the mirror.
I do not understand what this man had in mind, but evidently he does not know his history enough not to be surprised by the outcome of his knee plea to McCain to stick it to Obama. I don’t wish harm to come to him, many are right, he does have the right to support the red team, but he does not have the right to encourage unfair harm on someone else. He deserves to be torn from the bosom of the family for that.

John McCain and Sarah Palin are subtly trying to appeal to the instincts of the most loyal constituents of the Republican party; the illiterate rednecks and hill-billys of the Southern and Appalachian regions of the U.S., and the “Igloo-Park trash” living in Alaska.
Throughout, American history, the poor, illiterate whites have always been convinced by those with real power that the NEGRO was at the root of ALL of their problems. You “black BUCKS” craved his pale women. Your lack of fear for God destined you for hell, and justified your transition from the plantation to the sharecropper huts, from the sharecropper huts to the chicken farms. From the chicken farms to the rat and roach infested housing “projects” of the North, and the rotting ghettos of the South.
I live in the “belly of the beast”, and I’ve studied the cracker in his/her natural habitat. They’re still bitter about losing the Civil War (I know, you think that’s a joke). In fact, a statue of Robert E. Lee stands in front of the Courthouse in my hometown. During each year’s Christmas parade, the Sons of Confederate Veterans ride by on a tracktor-pulled wagon, salute this statue, then SHOOT FAKE MUSKETS TOWARDS THE SKY TO “HONOR” General Lee! Then, Negro children subsequently ask their parents “why were those men shooting?” “Why do they like people who fought for the south in the Civil War?”
So, the next time you see Caucasions discussing election dynamics on television, if they DON’T MENTION THE MASS MENTAL ILLNESS called “bigotry”, think about that scenario. These aren’t just people who can be dismissed, as the lying liars on Fox News would have you believe. The members of the Sons of Confederate Veterans are local politicians, cops, high school and college students, plant supervisors, and teachers. As a matter of fact, the S.O.C.V. are granted permission by the POLICE DEPARTMENT to discharge their toys during the Christmas parades.
What does any of this have to do with election dynamics?
Well, if you’re as socially blind, deaf, and dumb as James Harris, you’ll probably dismiss this information as irrelevant. Black conservatives, please listen up; STOP ACTING AS IF THIS ELECTION IS “BUSINESS AS USUAL”, fools! I’ll never understand how any conservative coon can fail to discern the magnitude of this moment in history. In 1998, JUST TEN YEARS AGO, COLLEGE STUDENTS IN CHARLESTON, SC WERE BURNING DOWN PRICELESS CHURCHES THAT HAD BEEN BUILT BY SLAVES TWO AND THREE HUNDRED YEARS AGO.

And trailer park trash like Sarah Palin are ACTIVELY aware of this, and they’re feeding this fear and ignorance on a daily basis.
THIS IS WHY THEY TRIED TO MAKE THAT FAKE PLUMBER OUT TO BE “EVERY MAN.” He sure did have “the look”, didn’t he? Then, when Caribou Barbie reaches out to “HOCKEY MOMS” AND “JOE SIX-PACKS”, do you Negro Coon, foot shuffling, conservative Jackasses think she has you on her mind? Or do you think she and Johnny boy are re-assuring all of the other “Plumber Joes” (who make $250,000 each year) that WHITE SKIN WILL STILL HAVE IT’S ADVANTAGES IF SHE AND SNOWMAN McKKKlan win this election?
So, our only hope is that, at this late age in History, there are just enough whites to look past their prejudices, and vote in their best interests for a change. Don’t allow these polls to get you excited. The white man’s history is littered with lies, so these Independents that are supposedly “leaning towards Barack” may “flip the script” in the privacy of the voting booth, where they’ll be alone with that mental disorder that’s deranged their minds for thousands of years.

When I first saw this clip on CNN I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. I respect the idea of African-Americans being able to follow their own path;
that is what makes us individuals. 50 years ago we fought to not be seen by society as all the same.
That means we have the right to be Democrats or Republicans, watch Seinfeld or Martin, and listen to Jay-Z or Dave Matthews. The problem I have with Harris’s statements were not his choice to support McCain; that’s his choice. My problem was the Uncle Tommish manner in which he did it. It’s not necessary to BEG and PLEAD. Even being conservative, I couldn’t imagine Armstrong Williams or Shelby Steele begging or pleading. Harris may object to the Uncle Tom label, but that’s what came to my mind and obviously thousands, or millions of other black folk. McCain even saw it. McCain responded by telling Harris that his reward would be in heaven, exactly what the slave masters told their slaves during the slave era. I don’t know how any black Americans could be a single black face (hmmm, nice choice, “blackface”) at one of McCain’s lynch mob styled rallies. Harris had better watch his back in an audience where people are liable to yell “kill him” in reference to a black man.
I hope the next time he’s at a McCain rally, he makes sure there are no trees anywhere near! One last thing; Harris might want to consider auditioning if Spike Lee needs a lead for “Bamboozled Part 2″!

James, how did you get to this point in your life to feel that you have to beg people. Do you know your history. Study the teachings of Martin King Luther King, Malcolm X, Marcus Garvey and Frederick Douglas. Internationally check out Gandhi and Mandela. These are people that sacrificed for your human rights with courageous words and action. Take some time off, pray and research these leaders, real men not beggars. You’ve been misguided. Do you teach your children to beg thier way up the ladder of success? This is the twenty first century. Slaves had to beg for survival.Their is no reason for that type of behavior today. You took a step backward.

My only question to you is “Why?” Why did you find it necessary to speak up and be the voice of the people? I am certain that you stuck out at the rally like a sore thumb. Everyone there knew that you were obviously the “token” black. So, why did you have to beg and plead the way you did?
At the end of the day, you will always be considered no more than the “token” black man that “stood up to his race,” as stated by the Louisiana Mom. You allowed yourself to be used selfishly to promote an agenda that might lead to your very own demise. You should know as well as any other black person in America, that no matter what you do or who you are suppose to be, you will never be viewed as anything other that some black man. Where do I begin? Unfortunately for Mr. Harris, jumping-to-conclusions is an American past time, not just a problem endemic to the Black community like so many implicitly assert. Although my visceral reaction to the statements he made at the McCain-Palin rally conjured the fervent, negative emotions I associate with the likes of Clarence Thomas, I so hate succumbing to my emotion that I’ve been combing the internet for 3 days for any evidence that could exonerate the brother. However, anyone who possesses and iota of general and emotional intelligence could’ve have foreseen his impending infamy. Reality is: Perception is reality and his statement seemed facilitated. As a 25 year old Black man, I don’t seek to vilify any of my brethren simply because they hold a dissenting political ideology. In fact, I have many close friends whose world views and social situations are diametrically opposed to mine. I believe as long as one’s views can be empirically substantiated, they’re entitled to them. Mr. Harris incited the ire of Black folks because, in addition to appearing as a plant, his charge to McCain was to beef-up ad hominem political attacks in-lieu of bolstering his platform on substantive issues. Given the historic ramifications of Barak Obama’s candidacy, it’s not hard to see why so many Black people “dislike” him. After much contemplation and research, I still don’t care for his views much, because I can’t believe any intelligent being supporting a ticket that could possibly make Sarah Palin the President of the Free World…forget about my ambivalence towards Sen. McCain. I say all this to say, that the “Black response” to Mr. Harris’ provocative call-to-arms is much more nuanced and dynamic than the media would like to admit. We don’t all get behind a candidate because he looks like us, and issue charges of being a sell-out at our convenience. So, please don’t relegate the treatment of Mr. Harris to the same trivial, thoughtless process.

it is fine that James Harris choose to vote for McCain; that is his perrogative. However,it is how he said it and where he said what he said is the problem. You just don’t do that in the Black community.You just don’t do that. This is the first Black man that could be in the white house. We never i our lives ever ever thought this could ever happen in America…and we are so close to it that we can taste it…for another Black man to say what he says to a predominantly white hate almost KKK like crowd was uncalled for and a nuisance. It would appear that a good many Obama supporters have no problem badmouthing or threatening the life of someone who is African-American and supporting Mr. McCain. Seeing all that has happened in the last few days to Mr. Harris, I believe Barack Obama ought to publicly declare that he has a problem, as I do, with some of his supporters voicing such ugly things about Mr. Harris or anyone else who supports Mr. McCain and ought to stop it at once. My opinion, if it turns out that Mr. Obama has no problem with these individuals voicing such things about Mr. Harris, then I firmly believe everyone in this country, and I mean everyone ought to have a really big problem with Mr. Obama becoming our next President.
