US Airways Flight 1549 Crashes In Hudson River
US Airways flight 1549 has crashed in the Hudson River.
Fox News reports that New York City is in a level three response. Rescue craft are on scene.
The flight was bound for Charlotte, NC.

The NTSB has dispatched a Go Team to investigate the crash of US Airways flight 1549. The aircraft is an AirBus A-320 (N106US).
Senior Air Safety Investigator Robert Benzon has been designated as Investigator-in-Charge of the 20-member team. NTSB Member Kitty Higgins is accompanying the team and will serve as principal spokesperson for the on-scene investigation. Peter Knudson is the press officer for the investigative team.
Airbus confirms US Airways flight 1549 was an A320, MSN 1044. It was delivered to US Airways on 2 August 1999. It was powered by two CFM 56-5B4/P engines.
“In line with ICAO Annex 13 International convention, the US NTSB (National Transportation Safety Board) will lead the investigation assisted by Accredited Representatives from the French BEA (Bureau d’EnquĂȘtes et d’Analyses) as State of aircraft manufacturer. A go-team of 6 Airbus Technical Advisors has been dispatched to New York to assist the Investigation Authorities,” it said.
