British Consulate Hit By Two Small Bomb Blasts In New York

The British consulate in New York was hit by two small bomb blasts early this morning:

CBS—(CBS/AP) Two small makeshift grenades exploded outside the British Consulate early Thursday, causing slight damage to the building but injuring no one, officials said. …

Update (5/5/2005 7:53pm):

CNN is reporting that the group Jewish Voice for Peace had a protest at the building aimed at Gail Fosler who is a Catepillar board member:

CNN—The protest was part of the International Day of Action Against Caterpillar, organized in the United States by the group Jewish Voice for Peace. …

Was the British Consulate the target of the bombing or was Caterpillar? We should know within a few days.

Earlier reports of a man questioned about the bombing have been dismissed saying that the man crossed police tape and that he was probably just drunk… source: CNN (same story).
