Media: Are They Creating The Candidates?
The Tucker Carlson program on PBS was a real eye-opener today. Tucker interviewed Alexandra Pelosi about her new movie “Diary of a Political Tourist”. In response to one of his questions she made a real jaw-dropper:
“If they [the candidates] can’t be honest, what are the reporters writing and putting on TV?” There you have it; the Main Stream Media are creating whatever image they desire a candidate to have. George W. Bush is a mean, nasty, stupid, warmongering leader; John Kerry is a wonderfully intelligent man who is going to fix George’s mess in Iraq, restore our international respect, and make everyone happy.
Americans know George W. Bush, we’ve watched him lead a shaken country after 9/11, take the fight to the terrorists, and prosecute the war in Iraq and in Afghanistan. Discerning Americans are not allowing themselves to be misled by ‘media spin.’ We know George and we trust him.
Americans are not sure who John Kerry is. If his image is pure ‘media spin’ then who is this man? Do we trust him to lead us? Will the terrorists fear him? Will he make us safer?
Whom do we want to lead us? A proven leader or a man whose image is pure ‘media spin?’
You choose.

Paul at Wizbang! has an interesting story this morning.
Michelle Malkin has a quote from Vladimir Putin that directly relates to what I said above “Will the terrorists fear him?”

[...] e been pathetic this campaign season. Where lies the truth with these guys? What do they really believe? I’m not sure we’ll ever know. [...]
