Yellowstone Experiences Earthquake Swarm

By Tim | January 19, 2010 | Tags: Northern America |

Yellowstone National Park is in the midst of an earthquake swarm that began Sunday night. A USGS researcher says the swarms are normal.

Yellowstone sits atop an active super-volcano. A full-scale eruption would be devastating for the United States and the world. Discovery Channel has a nice interactive site about it.

I’ve been watching earthquake alerts and Yellowstone has had magnitude 2′s and 3′s coming in all day.
