Amazon’s Jeff Bezos has given $2.5 million to the cause of Gay marriage in Washington state.
Chick-Fil-A’s Dan Cathy ignited a firestorm of criticism and calls for boycotts recently over his Biblical belief that marriage is between one man and one woman.
Gay activists are said to be readying a kiss-in at Chick-Fil-A restaurants on August 3rd.
Now, what do we do to Jeff Bezos to make him and his company, Amazon.com, pay for this travesty, this outrage?
I don’t think I’ll boycott Amazon.com at all. Bezos has the right to do with his money as he believes and so does Cathy. I’ll still buy my Christian books from Amazon; I’ll still eat at Chick-Fil-A once in a while. And, hypothetically, if I owned a restaurant operated on Christian principles, I’d be pleased to have Jeff Bezos eat there or anyone else on either side of whatever political debate was raging.
It’s just crazy; think about it. Are you going to tell a gay policeman, a Christian policeman not to save you from the guy with an assault rifle shooting up your movie theater? What if your house was burning down? Would you refuse a gay fireman’s, a Christian fireman’s effort to pull you from the flames?
God’s Word says we should all repent of our sins or perish in the end if we die bearing the guilt of those sins. God’s love is that he sent his Son to die in our place, to bear the guilt of those sins.
I know these issues are deeper than what I can write about here, but the previous paragraph is the only hope of sinful people, and I am probably the most sinful of all.
People, God loves you, learn about him from the Bible; it is the only record that bears witness of Him.
Now, after this simplistic discussion, maybe we can eat with each other at Chick-Fil-A and buy stuff from Amazon.com
Good night, have a blessed weekend.
