US Presidential Election
As of this posting it looks like Bush has it wrapped up:
Bush: 274 electoral votes
Kerry: 242 electoral votes
Kerry isn’t conceding Ohio and the Kerry camp may launch a legal challenge there.
The biggest shocker may be the loss of Tom Daschle in the Senate. Republicans have extended their control of the House and Senate.
Contrary to what the main stream media and the polls were showing, America has put their stamp of approval upon the Republicans and President George W. Bush.
President Bush won Florida by a comfortable margin with many counties that had voted for Al Gore in 2000 switching to Bush in 2004.
Americans turned out in record numbers this year for the elections, they wanted their vote to count. The election results seem to indicate that Americans have more confidence in the Republicans to keep America safe, to continue the war on terror, and to get the economy moving.
As a result of these elections, I believe America’s international relationships will improve. President George W. Bush will be extending his hand to America and the world community in a gesture of friendship and cooperation. The bitterness and resentment that has been apparent between all parties should now be set aside.
America will move forward and I urge Republicans and Democrats to let bygones be bygones. Let’s put partisan politics aside and work together. Americans are counting on you, and the world is watching to see what leadership you will bring.
Many Americans had been praying to God that America would choose well, I believe America has chosen well.
