Wow…
]]>Dr. Mercola says “The news for this year is that the flu vaccine you’ll get this fall will be a combination vaccine that contains both the regular flu- and the swine flu vaccines – you will not be given the choice to take them individually.”
“…if you’re age 65 or older, the CDC wants you to take a flu vaccine this fall that not only contains an antigen they previously said you probably already have antibodies to (H1N1), but that is also four times as potent, with no safety evaluation whatsoever until AFTER the season is underway!” Dr. Mercola warns.
]]>That’s shocking, but entirely believable. My brother-in-law worked worked as an electrician for a North Carolina company. He was recently laid-off with no luck so far finding a comparable job…
]]>Buffet is the normal, run-of-the-mill word we Americans use to describe a restaurant serving multiple, eat-all-you-want dishes. However, “buffet” doesn’t do justice to what Golden Corral has done at its Glenwood Ave. store.
Many months ago, Golden Corral demolished its old store there on Glenwood Ave. and began to erect a new structure.
The store officially opened Friday featuring items NEVER found in typical buffets. Try a chocolate fountain for starters. Patrons skewer fruits and plunge them into the fountain, withdrawing a decadently chocolate treat.
Chocolate not your thing? There’s a donut station that’s busy turning out donuts that you can cover with your choice of powdered sugars.
Don’t care for donuts? Try some hand-dipped ice cream! I chose mint chocolate chip. Ummm!
Before indulging in the aforementioned treats, eat your veggies. Sample some foods in the Asian section or try some spicy Mexican fare. Or just eat shrimp and clam strips! I’ll stop now before I spoil it for everyone.
Stop by tomorrow if you get the chance; they’re located at 6129 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh, NC.
Update: 08/20/2010 I just made a return trip and wow! That restaurant was packed! There were so many people that Golden Corral was doing “seating.” Everyone had to wait until tables opened up.
Was it as good this time? Let me just say, I had a good time and so did a lot of other folks!

That’s it!
I gleaned the above from a post by spurkza in a ZoneAlarm forum. Thanks!
]]>“The Allen West campaign would like to take this opportunity to point out the duplicity of the Florida Democrat Party. All attempts to assassinate the character of Col. Allen West, an American soldier, are in consort with the national Party’s decision to personalize elections where incumbents are in peril. The problem for Democrats in general and Congressman Ron Klein in particular, is that if they want to continue to indulge in the luxury of racial politics when it comes to their leader, President Obama, then they are going to have answer this tough question. If attacks against President Obama’s policies are “racist” by the American people who disagree with them, are attacks against Col. West’s ideas, which mirror the conservative people of this country, “racist” as well?
Democrats had better be careful of their hypocrisy. The party of social engineering which has helped decimate the black community, the party of segregation and the party of the late Senator Robert Byrd of Ku Klux Klan fame, had better beware. It is unfair to castigate the opposition when the person is a liberal black American, unless the same rules apply to attacks against a conservative black American.
]]>Rev.Jackson, Rev. Sharpton… we’re waiting for your arrival to demand equity for Col. Allen West. Something tells me we will be waiting a long time…”
Let’s keep Russians in our prayers as they struggle to contain the wildfires.
]]>Chick-fil-A gave out free Spicy Chicken Sandwich’s and Coke Zero at its Spicy Summer Cool Down.
The event included plenty of stage action with performances by Elite Cheer & Dance, CC & Co. Dance, Vision Martial Arts, Inis Cairde School of Irish dance, and a particularly high energy performance by Tri-Force Jump Rope.
Fire trucks, inflatable slides and bounce houses, face painting, cotton candy, shaved ice drinks, popcorn, Vitamin Water, and Dasani bottled water kept big smiles on kids faces (big kids too!).
The Spicy Summer Cool Down was a great event and we all appreciated the tremendous effort put out by Chick-fil-A, fire crews, and performers to make it a great day out in Raleigh.
I have got to say this in closing, Chick-fil-A is one company that consistently goes all out to bring kids and families together. It truly is, a wonderful company.
Thanks!
If I missed any performers or booth operators, let me know and I’ll add you in (it was a really busy day!).
