Micro-Earthquake Hits Tortola, British Virgin Islands
A magnitude 2.9 earthquake struck Tortola, British Virgin Islands this afternoon. The earthquake was centered at 18.450°N, 64.642°W. The hypocentral depth was deep, occurring at over 50 miles. When I saw the alert pop up, I couldn’t help but think of Pirates of the Caribbean and wonder if the Black Pearl had made an appearance.
