Does Donald Trump Make Sense For America?

Barring a catastrophe, it looks like Donald Trump will most probably be the Republican nominee for President of the United States.

Can he make America great again or at least get the country functional enough to provide a future for its children?

The far Left and Right

Donald Trump won’t make the far Left happy nor will he make the far Right happy, but he does seem to have enough in him for both camps and people in the middle to be contented.

Getting things done

Donald Trump has the confidence, know how, networks, influence, and money to get things done. Entrenched Republicans and Democrats will not be happy, but they’ll work with him. Oh yeah, they’ll work with him.

Can Trump actually do it?

America’s career politicians have done nothing but destroy a great country. Perhaps it’s time to give someone like Trump a chance to succeed where others have failed.

Obama Made Putin Look Like A Statesman: Allen West

Great post from Allen West tonight:

President Obama stated at the end of his 16 minute speech, “terrible things happen across the globe….we should act, that’s what makes America exceptional.” I find his words utterly disgusting because tomorrow we will remember four Americans who were abandoned by President Obama to die in Libya. I found no righteous indignation and call for a moral obligation to avenge and punish their islamic terrorist murderers – matter of fact, Obama called it a “phony scandal.” Christians are being butchered daily, where is his outrage? Israel is taking rocket and missile fire, where is his outrage? Some 100,000 Syrians had been killed by conventional munitions, and this was not the first chemical attack, where was his outrage? Obama has shown incompetence and weakness and has not presented a credible threat to Assad and Putin. If he wanted to respond he could have, God knows he did not seek congressional approval for Libya. He has been strategically outmaneuvered by Putin, lost the initiative, and allowed Putin to look like a statesman while he looks like a confused community organizer.

The Battling Boys of Benghazi

Awesome post at Allen West Republic today:

The Battling Boys of Benghazi

We’re the Battling Boys of Benghazi,
no fame, no glory, no paparazzi.
Just a fiery death in a blazing hell
defending the country we loved so well.
It wasn’t our job, but we answered the call,
fought to the consulate and scaled the wall.
We pulled twenty countrymen from the jaws of fate,
led them to safety and stood at the gate.
Just the two of us, and foes by the score,
but we stood fast to bar the door.
Three calls for reinforcement, but all were denied,
so we fought and we fought and we fought till we died.
We gave our all for our Uncle Sam
but Barack Obama didn’t give a damn
just two dead SEALs who carried the load
no thanks to us – we were just “bumps in the road.”

GOP Not a Christian Club?

Jonah Goldberg’s article, The GOP—Not a Club For Christians, upset me a little this morning. I think he’s right though. The Republican Party is just as pagan and worthless as the Democrat party [my thoughts, not his].

In the last election, Christians voted for the lesser of two evils and also for the evil. Go figure. Anyways, Christians have been too happy living on the plantation, looking to the hills of Washington, D.C. for their help when they should have been looking to God’s holy mountain all along. It’s right to use elections to move your country in the right direction; but I believe along the way an idol was erected in our hearts that had to be torn down and rightly so. In Isaiah 45:22, God says “Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.” That is the World’s hope. Christians, lift up your eyes…to the cross, to God’s son, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He alone is our help and salvation.

Republicans, democrats, whomever, listen to what people have to say regardless of party, race, religion etc., listen to them always and consider their opinions, but understand that our country’s ship has torn loose from its moorings. There are no answers now; at least answers that people and politicians want to hear. Hard lessons await.

Rep. Allen West Fighting Irregularities In St. Lucie County

The Allen West campaign posted this via their Facebook:

‘Our race is far from decided and there is no rush to declare an outcome. Ensuring a fair and accurate counting off all ballots is of the utmost importance. There are still tens of thousands of absentee ballots to be counted in Palm Beach County and potential provisional ballots across the district. Late last night Congressman West maintained a district wide lead of nearly 2000 votes until the St. Lucie County Supervisor of Elections “recounted” thousands of early ballots. Following that “recount” Congressman West trailed by 2,400 votes. In addition, there were numerous other disturbing irregularities reported at polls across St. Lucie County including the doors to polling places being locked when the polls closed in direct violation of Florida law, thereby preventing the public from witnessing the procedures used to tabulate results. The St. Lucie County Supervisor of Elections office clearly ignored proper rules and procedures, and the scene at the Supervisor’s office last night could only be described as complete chaos. Given the hostility and demonstrated incompetence of the St. Lucie County Supervisor of Elections, we believe it is critical that a full hand recount of the ballots take place in St. Lucie County. We will continue to fight to ensure every vote is counted properly and fairly, and accordingly we will pursue all legal means necessary.’

Update 11/10/2012: Gertrude Walker, St. Lucie county Supervisor of Elections, announced this evening that they will meet to recount early ballets:
